Phase II of the exterior renovation continues with the repointing of the stone mortar, removal of the top of the existing non-functioning chimney, cleaning mockups approved, replacement of the snow guards on the roof, while the May flowers continue to bloom amongst all the construction debris.

Handmade tools that were likely made by the blacksmith who was located on Grand Street at the time, were found in the attic during renovations. Several hand blown light bulbs were also discarded in the attic.

Scaffolding continues to envelop the Cathedral to facilitate the roofing and masonry repairs. Simultaneously, the attic is cleared from debris to facilitate the truss reinforcement repairs.

The Cathedral is full of many priceless treasures which were in danger of being damaged if any more ceiling tiles were to fall. These treasures have been removed and stored in a secure location offsite.
